I needed help, but none came by
I needed a shoulder to lean on, but none was given
I needed someone to love and understand me
But instead, I was met with hate and rejection I never asked for
I needed someone to talk to, but they all left
Leaving me to face the rain
I needed a heart to understand my emotions
But instead, I was slapped with blame
I needed a listening ear, but none heard me
I just needed love, someone that cares
But none showed up
But now, in death's dark shadow, I see the irony unfold
Tears and sympathy flow, but it's too late, I'm grown cold
Those who ignored my pleas now seek to find
A love and connection that could have been
It's ironic how they are willing to hear, help and love me now
Right when I'm gone
A bond that could have healed, a love that could have saved
Love me now, while I still breathe
When life's warmth still soothe my body
Love me now, while I still have the urge to live
And wonder what being free and loved is
Love me now, while I still see the beauty of life
When life's essence flows and my heart still glows
Love me now, while I still have the will to fight
And the passion burns with flaming light
Love me NOW, not when I'm GONE
To a place beyond, where love is lost
For then, it's too late and love is…..
But a distant song that echoes only in memories.
