Ingredients:

1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup granulated sugar
4 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup milk
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour an 8-inch round cake pan.
Mix Dry Ingredients:
In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.

Beat Eggs and Sugar:
In a separate large bowl, beat the eggs and sugar together using an electric mixer on high speed until the mixture is thick and pale, about 5 minutes.

Add Vanilla:
Stir in the vanilla extract.
Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients:
Gradually fold in the dry ingredients into the egg mixture until just combined.

Incorporate Milk and Butter:
In a small saucepan, heat the milk and melted butter until just hot. Gradually fold this into the batter until smooth.

Bake the Cake:
Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Cool and Serve:
Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and serve as desired. Enjoy your delicious vanilla cake!

Fun Tips:
During Christmas you can set up a table along with your preferred decorations. Set up plates on the table, add chairs, And Forks and spoons. When you are ready invite your friends and family to capture this wonderful moment. Try to stay up to the first storke of midnight and you and you guests shout, "Merry Christmas!" 1 or 2 times or until you are satisfied.
