Untangle Africa's Chains, Playing My Part

In a tiny house, nestled in the hills
Of Plateau State, where hope and dreams fulfill
I ponder the question, that echoes with pain,
How do I set my people free?
From chains of bad governance, poverty, and pain's decree?
With strong resolution, I'll start the journey to untangle the chains
That bind my continent, in shackles and pains
I'll sing it in the African tune, with rhythm and with fire
Until my voice is heard, and my message aspires
I'll shout it from the mountain top, with passion and with might
Until my words resonate, in the dark of night
I'll write about it, with ink that flows like the waters of Africa unbound
Until my words flows deep within
I'll speak of liberation, of empowerment and unity
Until every African see their true identity
I'll write of triumph, of victory and might
Until we rise together, in the morning light
From this small space, my impact will grow
Like ripples on a pond, it will flow and show
I will rise, from this tiny space
As I contribute to Africa's embracing pace
The hills that enclose me, will echo my call
For liberation, empowerment, and unity for all
Through valleys and mountains, my message will roam
Until Africa's chains, are broken and overthrown
From house to house, street to street, village to village, town to town, city to city, country to country
Until Africa's chains, are broken and no more
And her mind is free, to soar and explore
Until she thinks herself, good enough to stand
With pride and dignity, in this promised land
Until Nigerian calls South African brother true
And unity of purpose, is all we pursue
Until we look back, on the chains that bound
With triumph and victory, on common ground
The chain masters, who crippled and oppressed
Will see our glory, and their power repressed
Until then, I'll play my part
In untangling Africa's chains, and healing her heart
With every word, with every deed
I'll help liberate, and plant a seed
Of empowerment, of unity and might
Until Africa rises, in all her light
And the world sees her, in all her grace
A continent untangled, with a triumphant face
Until then, I'll work and strive
For the day when Africa, will thrive and survive
Free from chains, free from pain
A continent united, with a liberated reign
