Things I stopped doing when I got serious about my peace:
1. Explaining myself to people who already decided who I am
2. Staying in rooms where I have to shrink
3. Saying yes out of guilt instead of genuine desire
4. Carrying offenses that God already told me to put down
5. Performing healing instead of actually doing the work
6. Comparing my chapter 3 to someone else's chapter 20
7. Begging people to see my value
Peace is not passive. It is the most aggressive boundary you will ever set.

the #6 one hit me right in the chest. I literally just had to delete instagram for a week because I couldn't stop comparing my messy middle to everyone's highlight reel. It's wild how much energy I was wasting on that. And #5... whew. That's a whole sermon right there.
