THEME: UNTANGLE AFRICA'S CHAIN, PLAYING MY PART

I'm from the Black Race,
A continent where we recall and replay the depths of history and its pains,
Going back to the era of slave trade,
Its effects, wounds and the shackles, the system that kept us in chains,
Occuring again by our leaders being corrupt, biased and putting our white linen to stain.

Children of younger generations demanding for a change,
Forgetting there are a part of the shame,
Charity begins at home, but the core values of honesty are already washed away.
The sudden urge to get wealth without struggle is alarming and disheartening,
Many choose to venture into fraudulent activities,
Instead of acquiring a skill or working hard to achieve a degree.
The society is rotten and manipulated into the wrong beliefs.

Religious leaders turned the sanctuary seat to monetary games,
Enforcing selfish and covetous attitude to play for fame,
Brainwashed multitude with their beautiful fallacies so they could obey their say,
All coated and summarized in the single statement "For God's Sake".

With each step forward, the weight of chains we create,
With every link we forge, a piece of freedom fades,
As we cling to the past, the chain entwine our fate,
And the chain grows heavier with each day we fail to break through,
The burden of our mistakes, like a plague, infects us all,
And as we fall into despair, our future seems so small.

I'm from the Black Race,
The continent I should never fail,
My little efforts plays a role in it's rapid and positive growth.
I have the Africa blood flow in my veins,
Definitely, From the sands of Sahara to the jungles of Congo,
From the savannas of Kenya to the deserts of Namibia,
I know my motherland's beauty knows no bounds,
To untangle the Africa chains, my resilience and hope should remain strong,
For a true African Spirit can never be wrong and won't give up.

While I embrace the spirit of patriotism,
I spread its light like a full grown moon,
My words serving as a cardinal of search to find the truth.
A cry for change, a call for peace,
No more shall we be oppressed, or be treated as weak,
The time is now, the hour is near,
To break free from our chains, and erase all fear,
To stand united as one, to write a story new,
Of a continent reborn, of a people renewed.

Well done on this master piece! I love the narrative of the chains that hold us bound, which we must untangled as Africans. The call for libration is what will untangled the chains. But remember, we can't do it alone, so we need unity as Aficans to do it and how can we do it? Through empowerment of our words; to take back what is ours and at that... you're playing your part. Fantastic write up once again.
