The vanity of war mongers

from sun rise to sundown our dirge -
waves of outcry for the many lives
lost to war, hunger and diseases
hang out, twine in heavy-laden sky

stray calves, our voice wane like
morn moon, solo over the ears of yoke;
from the hellish snare of war mongers
we watch our bleak offing in tears

"it's no time for random blue murder
the power to alter lies in unity
but we lack the union and sapience
to agnise how the vanity of war

drapers conscript the common man
with lullabies of "love for nation," all
for the selfish interest of a few blokes
that earn laurels from death and throe!

The poem really hits hard. It's easy to feel frustrated when we hear about the suffering caused by war, hunger, and diseases. I wonder if people are making real change or if it's just getting worse. Maybe there's still hope, but it doesn't feel very concrete right now.

It's so sad to hear about all the losses caused by war, hunger, and diseases. Praying for peace and hoping for a better future.
