THE STREET TOOK ME INN
I stumbled upon her at the bus station on the corner of the street
Wearing a tight fitted blue denim jeans with sandals on her feet
Her charm compelled me to offer assistance in carrying her grocery bag
She looked at me with shrewd suspicion and then saw my trousers didn't sag
She flamboyantly smiled and then said "Don't bother am close to my destination"
I insisted on helping like am under a spell possessed by her magnetic attraction
she murmured something I barely heard, then gave me the item
She quickly said "Hope you aint to sing the usual love anthem
The over-recited slogan 'I love you', this and that, how I feel
Before you go into that cause I sense it, let me tell you my ordeal
At age sixteen I was raped over and over by my stepfather
I blew the whistle on him, but no one believed me precisely my mother
She hated me for that and swore to make my life miserable
Telling everyone am a witch, sugar-coated the story to be undeniable
The recycled afflicted hardship forced me to leave the house
With my only belongings a fray wrapper and shabby blouse"
"The street took me inn as one of her very own
Tutoring me on how to offer services like a pay phone
My habitation became the den of promiscuity called a brothel
My profession has grown so big that I offer home services at hotels
Giving customers what they wanted as they in turn gave me what I needed
Deep inside my soul it hurt, my heart was being wounded, my conscience bleeded
I had goals, I had the aspiration of being a female pilot
My dreams are dashed, am reduced to nothing but a harlot"
She looked at me and then uttered "For me please don't feel sorry
Now unto you handsome fellow stalking me what's your story"
To be continued...
