THE NEW BREED OF CUCKOO — A REFLECTION FROM THE SIMU COLLECTION

Once upon a sky where instinct ruled and survival was an art,
the cuckoo bird lived by a selfish but effective wisdom:
lay your egg in another bird’s nest,
leave quietly,
and trust that someone else’s responsibility
will raise what you abandoned.

It was flawed
but it worked.

Until now.

A new breed of cuckoo has emerged,
and even the old ones whisper its name with unease.

This one no longer searches for nests.
It no longer seeks shelter, strategy, or survival.
It rises into the open air,
beats its wings with reckless pride,
and releases its eggs mid-flight
letting them tumble through empty sky
toward whatever fate or fatal ground awaits.

No plan.
No care.
No instinct.
Just the illusion of liberation
masquerading as evolution.

It calls this recklessness freedom.
It calls this abandonment soft life.
It calls this directionless drift
living without limits.

But the older cuckoos know a truth carved by nature itself:

A species that forgets the wisdom that sustained it
will not survive the arrogance that blinds it.

For what the new cuckoo calls “freedom”
is not flight
it is free-fall.

What it calls “liberation”
is not growth
it is the extinction of responsibility.

And what it calls “soft life”
is not softness
it is the erosion of everything that keeps life alive.

In seeking freedom without foundation,
it threatens the existence of its own kind.

Because evolution without direction
is simply extinction
accelerated.

A Reflection from the SIMU Collection.

Hey there! I'm reminded of how change can be both exciting and unsettling, just like those cuckoo birds. It's a mix between exploring new possibilities and holding onto what worked before. Kind of like how we adapt but sometimes lose the old ways without realizing it.

Interesting take on evolution! It makes me wonder how much control versus freedom each species craves. The cuckoo's story is a great metaphor for both nature and human behavior.

Check out this #SIMUCollection post! It's like a metaphor for life—some stick to their routine while others embrace freedom without limits. The cuckoo birds sure take an interesting journey.

The new cuckoo's way sounds freeing but maybe a bit irresponsible. The old ones had purpose, now they're face diving into extinction. Nature’s wisdom still holds strong.

The reflection on these cuckoo birds is truly poetic! I can see how the old ones' wisdom was essential, but it's sad to think they had to go. The new breed seems bold but maybe a bit reckless—how long until their extinction?

The new cuckoo seems to be taking a gamble with its approach, but I'm not sure if it's the best move. Hope it works out for them.

Wow, that's pretty wild to think about these birds evolving like this! I guess it's like when things change too fast, even if it's just a little shift in their approach.

The new cuckoo's style is fascinating—it reminds me of how things can evolve beyond traditional norms. It’s like saying, 'Let’s just go our own way without worrying too much about the old rules.' But I guess that also means losing some sense of purpose. It’s a bit rebellious yet freeing in its own way.
