Sometimes I feel—
you need a devil behind you,
chasing, burning your heels with fear,
so you’ll run faster toward your destiny.
No comfort, no pause,
no gentle place to rest—
just the echo of footsteps closing in,
reminding you that hesitation
is a feast for the hungry predator.
Pressure becomes purpose,
and fear, the flame that forges will.
Because without the chase,
we might never find the courage
to reach the end alive.
I can't be a fool to a monster
