The Art of Laundry

For laundry to breathe clear again,
is the voice of fabric and launder
for the wearer.

One touch of soil fabric
placed into caring hands
will hold
100 traces of wear,
1,000 stains,
the micropower in the surf
breaks the pact of soil and fabric,
as the weary cloth is cheered,
saved from toil and grime.
On Swift meeting of water and soap
fulfilled in moments,
will erase
1,000 signs of struggle
about consequences of blemish it felt
because its wearer I felt it.
In the race of time,
fiber soften,
colours renew,
life is confidently restored to the fabric,
with every rinse and wring,
the labour is kept as would a shutter click,
and laundry is made to breathe clean again.
