The brims of a broken family
A pleasant home where laughter once dwelled
The sweet scent of joy and happiness filled with love
But time ticks away these precious memories.

Fading, almost blurred into empty space
The devil crept in, chaining each member
To opposite walls and worlds, bound by self-righteousness
Their hate accumulates, a toxic weight.

They're not villains, just victims of self-righteous villainy
Suddenly, everyone's woke, wiser and more self-aware
No one wants to fight, but priorities shift
From unity to self-preservation, vows forgotten

The time sand exhausts,
The veil of matrimony shreds
Leaving no one unscathed; husband, wife, children, pets
The place becomes a war zone,
A mass grave for happiness
The family, the first unit of society, the enemy's first target.

Reading this poem really hits home for me. It’s a harsh reminder of how quickly things can fall apart when we’re not careful with our relationships and values.

Man, reading this makes me realize how fragile these connections are. Families are so important, but it's scary seeing them break down like that.
