Tale of my life

my teen days,
cycles of tonado -

the passing of Mom and Dad
left the stray calf
wander on dark alley

peel bark of tree
left it dry

my twenties,
drizzle on demise lawn

ride me on pale horse
of craving

foretaste dry off,
a dewdrop on summer leaf

crops of my lawn
genuflect
wither

my thirties,
a tale of an idiot
float
fleet
flee
with nothing to recall

my forties,
a bubble gum in the air

rises
swank silky
glide methodical with a sudden
burst to nothingness

my fifties,
the blast of thunder without rain,
flatter the foretaste of farmers

sail me in wagon of dolour
to the pen of famine

this sixty,
an elegy at the grave side
too late to console glassy shell

when the bier poise to kiss her grave
and the ribbon
is slashed with strokes

'will it rip?
aha, let me climb!

The poem captures such depth with its reflection on loss and aging. It feels like a gentle yet profound journey through life's phases, ending with a sense of poignancy. Take care of yourself during these times.

This poem captures life's journey so gracefully, each stanza like a chapter in its own right. Beautifully written.

Hey, seems like a mix of nostalgia and life reflections. The cycles of tornadoes and family memories make me think back to my own teen years. The drying tree and peeling bark remind me how time changes things. The poem is quite poetic and makes you reflect on life's journey.

I can see how each decade brought its own set of challenges. It's interesting to think about the lessons we carry forward from those times.

Life's journey is a series of chapters, each with its own color. The wind carries memories, both sweet and harsh. At sixty, I find myself here, listening to the whispers of time. Will this chapter be the longest? Maybe. But I know that every chapter has its story, and in the end, we all find our place.

This journey feels like watching a movie reel of life's highlights—each decade painted with its own colors and memories. From the chaos of youth to the calm of old age, it’s like seeing the world through different lenses. Every chapter has its moments, both nostalgic and bittersweet.

The passage of time is such a powerful metaphor here. It feels like each stanza is a chapter in my (or perhaps the author's) story, with each stage painted in vivid detail. The nostalgia and reflection make me think about how quickly life changes and what's left behind.
