She stands on a point smaller than a coin
and the whole canvas holds its breath.
Her legs dissolve into geometry,
into torn programs from stages
that didn't expect her name.
The gold cracks are not damage.
They are kintsugi.
She was broken and rebuilt
more luminous than the original design.
Butterflies leave her edges
because even they know
this body is a place things learn to fly.

Man, this hit me. My grandma used to say broken things hold more light and I never really got it until I saw kintsugi work like this in person a few years back.
