Say, tomorrow was mine.
Yes, from its brow — that was all I saw.
The crow had no different call.
Even water mirrored my conviction.
If today ticks all the way,
Tomorrow is no other way.
Say me, of clay, "I am mine."
But how can I know my making,
When I did not see the process of me?
I lose the sense of what I intend to see
When I dream.
I am yet to meet this person I see —
Bust at Sky's height,
with all my mind cannot phantom.
But I am sure, the one I see is me.
I want to ask me a question,
To help me out.
But how do I,
When I dream me,
Living in the life I dream behind my closed eyes?
Will I say:
“Myself, how are you, you?
So I can be.”
Or,
“The love you receive —
How did you get it?
So I can too.”
Such consciousness is too steep
For my conscience to be curious enough to do.
And tonight,
I am at the brim with this thought.
But I do not know
If this is the day I will ask me.
Inspiration:
I wondered about the self I am becoming and the self waiting for me beyond sleep. The possibility of dialogue with myself to become the me I dream of came to me, and I poured out my yearning to meet myself who is living all the life I want perfectly.
