SAPA MAN'S PLIGHT.

#Hello Nircle.
GARRI FRIEND AND FOE.
In the depths of despair, my thoughts do dwell,
On Milton's blindness, his tale I now tell.
For what reason did darkness befall his sight?
Was it nature's course, a natural plight?
But in his heart, anger did reside,
Towards his situation, his God he defied.
Refusing to serve, incomplete in form,
His frustration grew, a tumultuous storm.
And now, I find myself in a similar plight,
Consuming Garri, my only source of light.
The economy's woes, a burden too great,
Leaving me with naught but Garri on my plate.
Day after day, I drink this humble fare,
My eyes suffer, burdened by its glare.
Oh, Garri, sustainer turned cause of harm,
I ponder on you as I sip with alarm.
Each swallow of this humble fare,
Bitter truth, laden with despair.
Will I emerge from this darkness unscathed?
Or will my vision slowly start to fade
Yet here I stand, in Garri's thrall,
Each morsel, a slow, blinding pall.
If like Milton, blindness engulfs my sight,
What shall be my reaction in this fight?
Government's callous, iron hand,
Strips dignity from this beleaguered land.
Forced to consume what dims my sight,
A bitter irony, a deafening plight.
I curse not fate, nor unseen hand,
But those who fail to understand.
Survival in this brutal tale,
Where Garri's bounty turns so pale.
If blindness claims this vessel mine,
No shame in speaking of the brine.
For anger stirs, a raging fire,
At leaders who let our dreams expire.
In the crucible of Sapa's plight,
I'll stand, resist with all my might.
Though Garri threatens to steal the light,
This Sapa man will wage the fight.
So let the world know of this refrain,
Where anguish mixes with the grain.
For in these depths, I will survive,
A testament to the will alive.
