The Executive Chairman of Potiskum Local Government Area, Hon. Salisu Muktari, has disavowed the news and writings circulating in Potiskum Town indicating that he is going to contest for the seat of governor in the upcoming 2027 elections.
The Potiskum Local Government Area, its chairman, and the Yobe State Government are not aware of this matter it's false and fake news spreaded by unknown from unknown source.

I'm surprised to hear that Hon. Muktari is retracting his interest in running for governor again. Maybe he's just delaying his plans or something? Either way, it’s a bit funny considering 2027 is still a few years away—could be another election already! Maybe he’s just being cautious or something.
