

Potiskum SSAs Forum Applauds Gov. Buni, Salisu Muktari’s Human-Centered Governance, Sets Stronger Course for Grassroots Development

The Forum of Senior Special Assistants (SSAs) to the Chairman of Potiskum Local Government, Hon. Salisu Muktari, has hailed Yobe State Governor, Hon. Mai Mala Buni, and the Potiskum LG Chairman for their human-centered, inclusive, and development-focused approach to governance, which continues to deliver visible impact at the grassroots.
The commendation was made during the forum’s inaugural strategic meeting, where members assessed ongoing development initiatives in Potiskum and reaffirmed their resolve to actively support the administration’s people-oriented agenda.
The closed-door session explored practical strategies to strengthen collaboration, coordination, and efficiency across the various SSA offices, with emphasis on collective responsibility and alignment with the development priorities of the local government.
Members of the Forum described Governor Mai Mala Buni’s leadership as visionary and peace-driven, noting that the stability and policy direction provided by his administration have accelerated development across Yobe State. They also applauded Hon. Salisu Muktari for his accessible, responsive, and compassionate leadership, which has translated policies into impactful projects and programs that directly benefit residents of Potiskum.
As part of resolutions reached, the Forum unanimously adopted its leadership structure to guide its activities. Hon. Abdullahi Sani (Kuna) emerged as Chairman, with Hon. Habu Maina Jiji as Vice Chairman. Other officers include Mal. Ibrahim M. Nura as Secretary, Amina Daffa as Treasurer, Hon. Ibrahim Iliyasu as Financial Secretary, Hon. Suleiman Babagana as Legal Adviser, and Hon. Sale Alhaji Shuddi as Public Relations Officer.
The Forum further resolved that all seven SSA offices would operate under a unified operational framework tagged “Lokacin Rama Alkhairi,” designed to promote unity of purpose, accountability, and effective service delivery in support of the Chairman’s development vision.
Speaking at the meeting, the Forum Chairman, Hon. Abdullahi Sani (Kuna), assured members of focused and inclusive leadership, stressing that the Forum would deepen engagement with key stakeholders, including security agencies, to enhance coordination and public awareness.
He reaffirmed that the SSAs remain committed to keeping the people of Potiskum fully informed about government policies, achievements and ongoing projects, while offering unwavering support to Hon. Salisu Muktari’s drive for sustainable and inclusive grassroots development, in line with Governor Mai Mala Buni’s broader agenda of peace, stability and progress in Yobe State.
