Potiskum LGA Showcases Governor Buni’s Signature Projects at Yobe Development Exhibition

Potiskum LGA stood out at the Yobe LGAs Development Exhibition held at August 27 Stadium, Damaturu, as it showcased groundbreaking projects executed by the administration of His Excellency, Hon. Mai Mala Buni, FCIA, CON, COMN.
Presenting the achievements, the Executive Chairman of Potiskum LGA, Hon. Salisu Muktari, highlighted the governor’s commitment to grassroots transformation, noting that the projects have redefined Potiskum’s role as the state’s commercial and development hub.
Key among the projects on display was the Ultra-Modern Trailer Park, built to international standards, which will ease road congestion, improve logistics, and reinforce Potiskum’s reputation as the gateway of trade in the Northeast.
The council also showcased newly developed modern markets, equipped with upgraded facilities to support traders, expand commerce, and stimulate economic growth.
Healthcare facilities, including newly constructed and upgraded hospitals, were highlighted as part of the administration’s effort to expand access to quality medical services for its residents.
Alongside these, strategic road construction and rehabilitation projects have improved connectivity across communities, while the construction and upgrading of schools have strengthened the educational system.
Governor Buni’s administration has also delivered a modern housing estate, providing families with safe and affordable homes, and sustained annual agricultural empowerment programs, supplying farmers with improved inputs, training, and tools to boost productivity and food security.
Hon. Salisu Muktari praised Governor Buni for his vision and support, describing the projects as life-changing.
“What we showcased here reflects Governor Buni’s dedication to real development—from markets to hospitals, roads, schools, housing, agriculture, and transport. These projects are improving lives and shaping the future of Potiskum,” he said.
The exhibition drew wide commendation, with stakeholders and residents applauding Potiskum as a model of progress under Governor Buni’s administration.
