Potiskum LGA Council Honors Ba'aba and Khadija for Their Contribution to the LGA's Devl't in Educational and Humanitarian Activities

The Potiskum Local Government Area Council under the leadership of Hon. Salisu Muktari honored Alh. Abbas Ba'aba and Hajiya Khadija Abdullahi Adamu for their immense contribution to the development of education and humanitarian activities across the local government area.

Alh. Ba'aba was a retired officer of the Nigerian Customs Service who excelled in helping underprivileged children and orphans to achieve their life goals, from providing them with jobs to sponsoring several scholarships across the Local Government Area.

Alh. Ba'aba was very active in humanitarian work and gave his full contribution to the development of education by providing school supplies and sponsoring several pupils in public and private schools across the Potiskum Local Government Area.

Alh. Ba'aba established the Albash Foundation, which sponsors the education of orphans and less-privileged people in the Potiskum Local Government Area, from primary school to their university graduation.

Similarly, Hajiya Khadija Abdullahi Adamu, the wife of the former Governor of Kwara State, Abdullahi Adamu, has also excelled in helping poor and orphaned children to achieve their educational goals.

Hajiya Khadija Abdullahi Adamu established her own foundation to support orphans and vulnerable children, namely the Child Rights Foundation, which sponsors the education of over 400 students in different schools across the Potiskum Local Government Area.

Following their commitment, the Potiskum Local Government Area Council, led by Hon. Salisu Muktari, honored them with a certificate of commendation to encourage them and show their contribution to becoming role models for other people who have opportunities and prosperity.

Hon. Hamza Ngojin, the Vice Chairman of the Local Government Area, while speaking on behalf of the Chairman of the Local Government, said:

"We are proud of you as Potiskum indigenes who are contributing immensely to the development of our Local Government Area and our community as a whole. Of course, what you are doing is an example for all good citizens, and it is with joy that we have honored you with these awards and wish you the best of luck." He said,

The event was attended by various political leaders and stakeholders of Potiskum Local Government Area.
