Potiskum local government area under the leadership of the executive chairman, Hon. Salisu Muktari, has become a top-notch health center, a model, and a health tourism destination across Yobe State.
As the executive chairman of Potiskum Local Government Area, Hon. Salisu Muktari has prioritized health to ensure the quality of their services. Potiskum Local Government Area has become a model and a health tourism destination among the 17 local governments of Yobe State.
Potiskum Local Government Area has hosted several local governments for training following the results indicating that the local government stood out among all the local governments in the state, making the local government a top-notch health tourism destination among the 17 local government areas of Yobe State.
The Director of the PHC Board, Potiskum LGA chapter, Dr. Abdulrahman Musa, confirmed that:
"Nangere Local Government came specifically to seek knowledge and more insight into how we carry out our work, and they sought support from our local government to train some of their staff in management skills and to empower them with a roadmap for their work that can lead to success in primary health care in their local government of Nangere.
"They also assured us that they are using their visit to inspire their staff to give them skills and to make them understand the importance of improving the health of their community at the primary level, as their director of primary health care told us during the visit.
"Potiskum Local Government was the first to respond quickly and provide quality care to patients following the efforts of Hon. Salisu Muktari to give us a good contribution for management without any obstacles or hindrances." Dr. Abdulrahman Musa said
Hon. Salisu Muktari prioritized the need for health, education, and the revitalization of government assets to ensure the commitment of Governor Buni to modernize and revitalize the health and education sectors.
