Poem;A Familiar Sky, A New Me

I looked into the skies, and I saw this—
Here in the city of Ogbomoso📍

A gust of overwhelm rushed through me.

It stirred memories I couldn’t quite explain—

Memories of fearing the rain,
Of fearing our old house might be blown away,
Of muddy streets I used to hate
After every stormy day.

But I looked up and smiled.

I was amazed… and I wondered why.

Life happened—yes, it did.

And now I find myself
Loving this very same sky,

This very same atmosphere
I once wished away.
