The executive governor of Yobe State, H.E. Hon. Mai Mala Buni FCIA, CON, COMN, and the executive chairman of Potiskum LGA, Hon. Salisu Muktari, have joined hands to ensure a strong and resilient community in Potiskum LGA.

Being partners with a vision and a leadership style to empower youth men and women in leadership, politics, business and other areas of self-reliances that has never been seen before in the history of Yobe state politics, they have joined hands as powerful leaders to ensure a strong and resilient community in various areas.

Governor Buni established a Skills Acquisition Centre in Potiskum Local Government Area where the executive chairman, Hon. Salisu Muktari, has also expressed his appreciation and sponsored the training of over 200 women in various trades, including soap making, peanut oil refining, modern spices, and lubricants, and provided them with capital to start their businesses.

Providing women with self-reliances will boost social activities, resolve domestic conflicts, bring about change and improve the lives of the good people of Potiskum Local Government Area.

Many communities have commended the partnership that has created an effective training system, as the Yobe State Government under Hon. Mai Mala Buni FCIA, CON, COMN has established the centre, while the Chairman of Potiskum Local Government Area, Hon. Salisu Muktari, has also undertaken the training of 200 beneficiaries and provided them with capital to start their businesses.

This is an initiative that can provide good self-reliance.
