My poetry, my story

AN UNFINISHED PICTURE THROUGH WRITING.
We had friends,
They always fend
Our laughter, our tears,
We'll fight and cheer.
Our friendship, not an ordinary one,
Our bond, not an ordinary bond.
It lasts like the heat of the sun,
Never ending, never burns.
Here, we had no snow,
Left with the sun's glow,
We'd pray, laugh, and grow.
No, not the regular African breed.
The strokes of our mother's cane,
Rain on our faces, sand in our hands.
From Black, we rose,
More fire we'll ignite.
We made plans like an agent,
Being agile like a sergeant.
The crushes we had, so funny,
The ones we liked? Oh mummy!!.
Dancing was our passion,
Singing was our fire,
Our hands lit the flames,
The breeze carried our day.
Heights, too high,
Arms, too short.
A verse a day,
The Lord we seek.
Reminiscing, can't do it all,
A perfect picture, I can't paint.
Growing up, can't be an easy journey, because we'll do it forever.
I was inspired by the challenges we face, growing up as children from diverse backgrounds, and more we might face while transcending through time.
Africa is a home to all.
