Life is a battle
And we are the weapons of war to build, destroy, plant, uproot... systems
Of prejudice
Of war, strife
Of poverty...
Life is a battle!
The Universe is the circus,
The solar worlds, the arena and the ground where on we tread, the battlefields.
To fight is life and to live is to fight.
Through school, decisions, sports, politics...we fight.
Never to finish fighting and just to live to fight another day through it all.
Life is a battle, fight, war unending till we breathe our last: “A luta continua; vitória é certa.”
The battles fought, the races run neither go nor are won by the strongest, bravest, swiftest...
But by those who think they can through it all.
It is decided by “Time and Chance.”
And all those who have passed on, did they die a hero(ine) or a craven?
So, die hard [trying]!
Neither win nor lose it with ease.
So, beat no retreat to a surrender!
