In the Wrong Arms

*In the wrong Arms*
I'm in another man's arms,
Stung by bees, a swarm
Not that he meant me any harm
As my husband, he shields and I'm warm
Resting in this strong arms
Lies this weakling at heart
Hunted by the reality of truth
Possessed by the shadow of the past
How could I have been blinded by the present?
And traded my future on a transient gold
Disregarding the palpitations of my heart
I went on an adventure of a lifetime
Not that he is now wealthy
His calm, cheerful mind is healthy
His serene serenading smile he never lost
Poor girl, I refused to count the cost
Yeah, all that I wanted I have
And to whomever I desired I gave
But there's still something missing
That keeps my troubled heart in prison
With an awesome smile, he came
Indigent but promising and sincere
With the simplicity of a humble heart,
He desired a relationship of a lifetime
My heart, like many others, yearned for his avowal
My eyes, with a myopic glance, rejected His approval
His smile, even in rejection, is a dream that hunts!
And I'm left for good to bear the brunt
Now I know real happiness no money can buy
Satisfaction is a virtue when the heart is free
Not with the resplendency of what the eye can see
What a shame to a damsel whose tastes are high!
Does it answer all things?
Why not mine?
How misconceived is this concept?
My inner feelings no wealth can cure
Get it right otherwise the wrong you'll never right
Be guided and know what you want
Never be lost in the mazes of transient reality
For you may be hunted by an incurable troubled heart
