Sun glide in the morning fog
hug the dark arm of clouds
time and tide float debris
on the shore, wash away hope
Though I do not fret
Perhaps evening creep in
the sky will swank green hue,
display
the laurels of the sun
wash away
gallant clouds of weight
Instantaneous joy,
morning breed contentment
will lack caution to survive
a conspicuous evening;
which serenity I ought to wait
if I must laugh, laugh longer!

hmm this hits different on a cloudy morning. that line about laughing longer really got me - been trying to remember that lately. sometimes you just gotta let it out even if the rest of the day feels heavy. is this your own writing? 15 days ago
