lIn a renewed effort to promote equality and inclusive leadership, the Executive Chairman of Potiskum Local Government Area, Hon. Salisu Muktari, has appointed Suleiman Abubakar Babagana as the Senior Special Assistant on Social Development and People with Disabilities.

Hon. Salisu Muktari said the appointment is part of his administration’s broader commitment to building a fair and participatory system that gives everyone—especially persons with disabilities—a voice in governance and development.

“Our mission is to ensure that governance works for all. Inclusiveness is not just a promise; it’s a responsibility we must uphold to strengthen unity and progress in Potiskum,” Hon. Salisu Muktari stated.

He also explained that the newly appointed aide will oversee programs that promote social inclusion, empower vulnerable groups, and enhance community participation in local governance.

“We want to create opportunities that uplift people, not just assist them. Every citizen should feel valued and capable of contributing to our shared development goals,” he added.

Hon. Muktari described Seleiman Abubakar Babagana as a passionate and community-minded individual who has consistently demonstrated empathy and dedication to social causes, expressing confidence that his appointment will enhance government engagement with all groups.
