Hon. Salisu Muktari Moves to Transform Potiskum Logistics, Appoints SSA on Road Transport and Energy

In a bold step to strengthen the heartbeat of Potiskum’s economic activities, the Executive Chairman of Potiskum Local Government Area, Hon. Salisu Muktari, has appointed Hon. Audu Kuna as the Special Senior Assistant (SSA) on Road Transport and Energy—a move widely seen as a turning point for the town’s transport and logistics development.

The appointment underscores Hon. Muktari’s strong commitment to building a modern and efficient transport system that supports commerce, enhances road safety, and powers the local economy.

Speaking during the announcement, the chairman described transport and energy as key drivers of growth, pledging to reposition the sectors for optimal service delivery.

“We are strengthening Potiskum’s transport system for a better future. Our goal is to create an efficient and reliable logistics network that connects communities, supports businesses, and promotes economic prosperity,” Hon. Muktari declared.

He added that Hon. Audu Kuna’s appointment was carefully considered, citing his experience, dedication, and proven leadership qualities as vital to achieving the administration’s development vision.

The SSA is expected to coordinate road transport reforms, ensure better regulation of commercial operations, and work towards integrating sustainable energy solutions to drive efficiency.
