The executive chairman of Potiskum local government area, Hon. Salisu Muktari, is continuing to restore Potiskum's reputation as a place known for its business, agriculture, and livestock.
The chairman is committed to ensuring good governance in all areas to improve the lives of the community, boost the economy, and improve the well-being of the residents of the local government area.
He also claims that besides security, the community is keen to have the benefits of business and good agricultural practices to improve their lives.
"Following the establishment of security, we must stand up to ensure that the dignity of businesses, agriculture, and livestock is restored because that is what our local government is known for.
"Having achieved security balance, which we will now call Potiskum Local Government, a peaceful local government that we can all be proud of, we must stand up to ensure the quality of these sectors of business, agriculture, and livestock.
"Our greatest pride here is that the Yobe State government, under the leadership of the Honorable Governor Hon. Mai Mala Buni, FCIA, CON, COMN, has stood up to improve the lives of our people by developing the economy, including agriculture, livestock, and business sectors." Said Hon. Salisu Muktari
He also gave an example of how the governor is focusing on areas that the people of the local government can be proud of and benefit from economically by giving priority to agriculture.
