The executive chairman of Potiskum Local Government Area, Hon. Salisu Muktari, hosted Zainab and her parents, and they appreciated him for taking care of her treatment after the incident of a tree falling on her foot at Tashar Gawo.
Zainab, a resident of Makara Huta in Potiskum Local Government Area, suffered two fractures in one leg and a fractured bone, which severely damaged her leg.
She sustained the injury after a tree branch fell on her leg at Tashan Gawo in Potiskum Local Government Area while she was trying to return home due to too much wind and rain.
The chairman unexpectedly saw the incident on Facebook and directed that a search be made for her and that the Potiskum Local Government Area would take care of her until she recovers.
The tragedy occurred since the end of August 2023. On the orders of the executive chairman, the local government area is still taking care of her treatment at Dala Orthopaedic Kano, as she's now at the final stage of recovery.
"When you will go back for follow up and the removal of the metal in her leg, I want you to let me know because we will not tire of giving our contribution to her health, and we will also take care of everything that arises from transport to work, as we always do." Said Hon. Salisu Muktari
