



Hon. Salisu Muktari Hosts Yobe Police Commissioner, Reaffirms Commitment to Security and Peace in Potiskum

The Executive Chairman of Potiskum Local Government Area, Hon. Salisu Muktari, has hosted the Yobe State Commissioner of Police, CP Emmanuel Ado, on a courtesy and familiarization visit, during which both leaders reaffirmed their shared commitment to strengthening security and promoting lasting peace across Potiskum.
The visit was aimed at enhancing collaboration between the local government and security agencies, fostering mutual understanding, and reinforcing ongoing efforts to safeguard lives and property for sustainable development within the local government area.
Speaking during the visit, CP Emmanuel Ado described the engagement as a strategic familiarization tour designed to consult, interact, and encourage effective synergy with local leadership. He commended Hon. Salisu Muktari for his dedication, resilience, and proactive approach to community development and security enhancement.
“This visit is to familiarize ourselves, consult, and strengthen cooperation. Hon. Salisu Muktari is like a brother to me; I know his commitment and passion for empowering the people and improving security structures. That is why Potiskum is among the first local governments I chose to visit. Being here feels like being at home,” CP Emmanuel Ado stated.
In his response, Hon. Salisu Muktari warmly welcomed the Commissioner of Police and his entourage, assuring them of the local government’s unwavering support for all security agencies operating within the area. He emphasized that peace and security remain central to economic growth and social harmony in Potiskum.
“On behalf of the entire good people of Potiskum, I warmly welcome you to our local government. Potiskum is home to everyone, and as a government, we are fully prepared to provide maximum support to security agencies in strengthening their operations to prevent all forms of criminal activity. We have continued to play an active role in ensuring effective security across Potiskum and its environs, and we will intensify our efforts to achieve even greater success,” he said.
