Hon. Salisu Muktari Hails Gaidam’s Appointment as Police Academy Council Chairman, Praises Tinubu’s Choice

The Executive Chairman of Potiskum LGA, Hon. Salisu Muktari has extended warm congratulations to Senator Ibrahim Gaidam following his appointment as Chairman of the Governing Council of the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
In a statement, Hon. Salisu Muktari described the appointment as “well-deserved and a reflection of decades of dedicated public service,” noting that Gaidam’s track record in governance and national service makes him ideally suited for the role.
He commended President Tinubu for what he called a “thoughtful and strategic decision,” emphasizing that entrusting Gaidam with the leadership of the Academy would strengthen the institution’s mandate of training highly professional and disciplined police officers.
Muktari praised Gaidam’s leadership journey from his tenure as governor of Yobe State to his service in the National Assembly and current role in the Ministry of Police Affairs, highlighting his consistency, administrative competence, and commitment to nation-building.
According to him, Gaidam’s wealth of experience places him in a strong position to provide effective oversight and policy direction to the police academy while advancing reforms that will enhance the quality of policing education in Nigeria.
He further expressed confidence that under Gaidam’s leadership, the institution would witness renewed progress, improved standards, and greater national and international relevance.
Hon. Salisu Muktari also offered prayers for wisdom, strength, and success for the new chairman as he assumes the responsibility of leading the Governing Council.
The appointment of Senator Gaidam has continued to attract commendations from stakeholders across the country, with many describing it as a step toward strengthening Nigeria’s security institutions through experienced and capable leadership.
