The Executive Chairman of Potiskum LGA, Hon. Salisu Muktari has lauded Governor Mai Mala Buni for his decisive endorsement of the nomination form of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 Presidential Election, describing the move as a defining step in strengthening the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Reacting to the development, Hon. Salisu Muktari said Gov. Buni’s action reflects exceptional political foresight and a clear commitment to sustaining unity and continuity within the ruling party. He noted that the early endorsement has not only set the tone for internal alignment but also reinforced confidence in the leadership and reform agenda of President Tinubu.
The council chairman emphasised that Gov. Buni’s influence continues to resonate beyond Yobe State, positioning him as a strategic figure in shaping national political direction. According to him, the endorsement further elevates Yobe’s profile within the APC while strengthening its role as a dependable pillar of support.
Hon. Salisu Muktari added that the governor’s leadership style anchored on inclusiveness, discipline, and grassroots engagement has played a critical role in consolidating party structures across the state.
He stressed that party loyalists in Potiskum and beyond remain fully aligned with the governor’s vision and are ready to mobilise support in line with his directive.
He described the endorsement as a rallying point for APC members, urging stakeholders to close ranks and sustain the unity that has continued to define the party’s success in Yobe State.
The chairman reaffirmed his unwavering support for Gov. Buni’s leadership, noting that his strategic decisions will continue to guide the APC toward greater electoral victories in 2027 and beyond.
