If I were younger, I’d wish you kept
Locked in a castle made by tender care
Gliding with me in a never-ending parade
Wrapped up in your arms as I did before
Playing Osiwe never gets old with you
How soon you left before I could say a word
My rock you were, stalwart as can be
A day, I woke up you weren’t there
Who will sing my cheers now?
Calling in praise as I hit milestones
Time lost its reins on frame
Did you walk the path alone?
My eyes were open for shutting them
Hurtle in the memories like armed bandit
Refuse to let me go, let me be
A hero you were, no replacement at all
Forever locked within you will ever be.
