Haywire.

HAYWIRE.

"Everyman for himself," they say!
Alone, by myself, I crawl through hidden pains
Of love and being financially challenged.
I see my age group above me
Swimming in the arms of opulence
Without reserving a seat for me,
As if they won the race of life with nitro
While I trek with my feeble weary legs
Without using the hack of life,
Of which I'm aware of the hack,
The hack they call 'fast life'.
Is it that my kinsmen have been drinking
From the cup of misfortune and dined with lucifer?
Or have they lost the heirloom my great grandfather kept for me?
My clock is ticking!
My days are numbered, not because I'm ageing
But because I'm cooking from the inside with thoughts
Oh mother-life, where have I gone haywire?
Tell me, mother-life, must I appease the gods
To shatter the generational curse, if there's one?
