Many aspire to be remembered as heroes and patriots. However, the honor comes with a heavy price and potentially deadly consequences. Some were captured and subdued, witnessing the brutal treatment of their loved ones, families, friends, communities, and fellow patriots. Yet, they kept their silence, ensuring that future generations wouldn't suffer the same fate and that the sacrifices of the fallen patriots wouldn't be in vain.

It's crucial to remember not just the day of independence but also the struggles and sacrifices that led to it. From October 1st, 1960, to the present, it's evident that their sacrifices were not in vain.

Let's honor their memory by raising our country's flag high and engraving their names in our hearts. Their bravery and resilience paved the way for our freedom, and it's our duty to remember and celebrate their legacy.
