The All Progressives Congress (APC) has reinforced its internal stabilization drive as the Conflict Resolution, Strategy, and Mobilization Committee, under the leadership of Yobe State Governor Hon. (Dr.) Mai Mala Buni, CON, convened to realign party interests and consolidate unity ahead of the forthcoming National Convention and critical political engagements.

Meeting at the Yobe State Governor’s Lodge, Abuja, the committee reviewed internal party dynamics and identified priority areas requiring immediate reconciliation, reaffirming its commitment to repositioning the APC for cohesion, strength, and electoral readiness.

The committee stressed that resolving lingering disputes within the party is central to sustaining APC’s dominance and ensuring that all stakeholders remain fully integrated into the party’s decision-making process as the political calendar advances.

Gov. Buni’s chairmanship of the committee has been widely acknowledged as a decisive move by the party, drawing on his tested experience in party restructuring, elite consensus-building, and high-level reconciliation, particularly his widely credited role in stabilizing the APC during its most critical transitional period.

Under his strategic guidance, the committee emphasized the urgency of sealing all internal differences and approaching future party programs and national elections with a united front, noting that unity remains APC’s strongest political asset.

The committee further identified specific states and political actors whose unresolved interests could undermine party cohesion, placing them on a fast-track reconciliation framework designed to deliver swift and lasting resolutions.

With Governor Buni providing political direction, the committee reaffirmed that unity, cohesion, and discipline remain non-negotiable pillars for APC’s continued relevance, expansion, and electoral success nationwide.

The committee’s membership reflects APC’s political depth and national spread, comprising Governors Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq (Kwara), Hope Uzodimma (Imo), Hyacinth Alia (Benue), Umar Namadi (Jigawa), Bassey Otu (Cross River), Abiodun Oyebanji (Ekiti), Sheriff Oborevwori (Delta), and Uba Sani (Kaduna).

Other influential members include Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara; Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola; Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle; former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello; Senator Adamu Aliero; Senior Special Adviser to the President on Political Affairs, Ibrahim Masari; with Muiz Banire, SAN, serving as Secretary.

Gov. Buni’s steady leadership, institutional memory, and deep understanding of APC’s internal architecture continue to position him as a central figure in shaping party cohesion, managing competing interests, and steering the APC toward renewed unity and electoral strength.
