The Executive Chairman of Potiskum Local Government Area, Hon. Salisu Muktari, has reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to strengthening the inclusive vision of Yobe State Governor, Hon. Mai Mala Buni, CON.
He also described Governor Buni as a leader who has laid a solid foundation of unity and progress, urging local government authorities to build on this legacy for the benefit of the good people of Yobe State entirely.
Speaking at the Potiskum Local Government Secretariat, Hon. Salisu Muktari praised Governor Buni’s leadership style, noting that his deliberate policies have fostered stability, fairness, and inclusiveness across Yobe State.
He stressed that local governments, being closest to the grassroots, have a duty to translate these policies into practical programs that directly impact communities.
“Governor Buni has laid the foundation of unity, and it is our duty at the local government level to continue to build on this structure,” Hon. Muktari said.
He assured that under his leadership, Potiskum LGA will continue to prioritize youth and women empowerment, describing them as vital stakeholders in governance, politics, and community development.
According to him, inclusiveness is the bedrock of lasting peace and prosperity, and no society can progress if significant groups are excluded.
Hon. Muktari also pledged to strengthen policies that promote fairness, innovation, and social harmony, ensuring that development reaches every household.
He also emphasized that his administration will remain in full alignment with Governor Buni’s broader vision for Yobe State, consolidating gains at the grassroots to achieve sustainable growth.
“With unity as our foundation and inclusiveness as our guide, we will ensure that the dividends of democracy reach every citizen,” he added.
