The Executive Governor of Yobe State, H.E. Hon. (Dr.) Mai Mala Buni FCIA CON COMN, has completed the reconstruction and remodeling of 50 km of asphaltic road from Yusufari to Yunusari LGAs of Yobe State.
The governor rehabilitated the road in his bid to boost transport, improve trade, and boost the economy of Yobe State, the region, and the two local government areas.
The road has been in a state of disrepair and deterioration for a long time, which has severely hampered trade, as it is the main route for movement and transportation of agricultural products in the region.
The impact of the road has been felt even in the border areas, where this road is used to transport goods from Nigeria to Niger and other neighboring countries using heavy goods vehicles.
Governor Buni handed over the reconstruction project to Amarma Golden Merchant Nig. Ltd. to ensure quality and efficient work, and the work has now been completed in the best possible order and quality within the shortest possible time according to the contract agreement taken at the time of awarding the work.
The road continues to facilitate traffic and boost the economy following its improvement by the governor.
Governor Buni also pledged to provide___ 178 rural access roads across Yobe State under the 178 districts of the state.
