Yobe State Governor, H.E. Hon. Mai Mala Buni, FCIA, CON, COMN, has recorded another major breakthrough in his administration’s infrastructure drive with the completion of a world-class trailer park in Potiskum Local Government Area, now awaiting official commissioning.

The project highlights a deliberate and strategic push by the Buni administration to modernize critical infrastructure, boost economic activities, and position Yobe State as a key player in Nigeria’s transport and logistics network.

Located in Potiskum—widely recognized as a commercial nerve center—the facility is designed to streamline haulage operations, reduce traffic congestion, and support the growing demands of trade across the region.

The trailer park, considered the largest in Nigeria, can accommodate up to 1,000 trailers and is expected to create about 5,000 jobs, providing a major boost to youth employment and small-scale businesses.

Built with modern standards, the facility offers a wide range of essential services, including a trailer maintenance garage, fuel and gas station, banking facilities, and expansive parking areas. It also features a modern hotel, relaxation centers, and a football pitch, ensuring convenience and comfort for users.

Security and service delivery have been prioritized, with dedicated offices for the police and fire service, alongside reliable electricity and potable water supply. The park is further supported by well-developed road networks, drainage systems, a healthcare center, a mosque, and various shops, making it a complete and self-sustaining hub.

With commissioning imminent, the project stands as a clear reflection of Gov. Buni’s commitment to delivering impactful, people-oriented infrastructure—driving job creation, strengthening the economy, and improving the quality of life across Yobe State.
