From Heartbreak to Healing: A Poem of Love, Loss, and Finding Strength Again

A Light Beyond the Pain
Is this you, my friend?
You’ve become a shadow of the man you were
You drift through life like a lost ship
The fire in your soul has dimmed.
You feel you should vanish and stop existing
You’re tired of the cruel gift of breath
You wish the world would end with your grief
But will it stop spinning just for you?
You either end your story or fade quietly into it
But neither choice would honor her memory
Your death wouldn’t stop the sun from rising
It would only cast darkness on those who love you still.
I know it cuts deep - unbearably so
But that ache won’t last forever, I promise
Let the tears fall like rain and soften your heart
They are not weakness but your soul’s release.
Don’t you think she’d frown at your thoughts?
Do you believe ending it all will bring her to you?
She would smile brighter knowing you’re carrying on
Her love still alive in your heart and her child.
That little one - the child you both made
He is her gift, her legacy, her living light
Would you leave him to suffer alone?
Would you deny him the father he needs?
Wipe your tears, my friend. Stand tall for her
You’ve grieved for years, but life calls you back
Two years have passed - don’t you think it’s time?
Your pain deserves a farewell, not your life.
The world is bitter and sweet, my friend
But you have lingered in its bitter corners too long
Those who have loved truly know the sting of loss
Yet time, gentle and steady, will mend your heart.
Be well, my dear friend. Find joy once more
Your well-being matters to those who remain
Others have walked this path and conquered
You, too, will rise again. For her, for him, for you.
