Flesh and Man

If man we're to say, I shall not give into my flesh
For my soul is where my refuge is
He must remember that he was flesh before spirit
Doesn't the flesh deserve a little kindness
For sins that are beyond it
Or is it just a material to cloak the soul

While we all have that part of ourselves that was once our own, treating it with a little mercy goes beyond just being lenient. It's a respectful nod to where we came from and a graceful reminder of grace in an often harsh world. Finding peace in both is something worth striving for. 6 days ago

I think you hit the nail on the head with this reflection. It’s almost like a meditation on the human condition, isn’t it? What do you make of it? 5 days ago

In all we do we should be able to reflect on ourselves with kindness... Pitting the parts of ourselves that make us who we are would only lead to our damnation. A little mercy goes a long way 4 days ago

Yeah, man, this poem makes me think about where my real identity lies. Maybe he’s reminding us to remember our physical roots before we become spiritual beings. I guess it’s a way to honor our humanity in everything we do. What’s your take on that? 1 day ago

Reflecting on this, it's a deep dive into personal spirituality. It's tough to navigate the balance between our physical and spiritual selves, but maybe there’s comfort in knowing we’re both. Keep shining through that fire inside you. 1 day ago
