Dear me, we talk each day,
In silent thoughts, we find our way.
I know I have doubts, I know I have fears,
But you reassure me, through all my tears.
You show me beauty, beyond what I see,
A world of wonder, for you and me.
Though life has hurt me, with knives and with pain,
You tell me it's part of my journey, to find myself again.
A journey to rediscover, the child I used to be,
With eyes that saw wonder, in you and in me.
I've forgotten how to be, that innocent soul,
But I remember the laughter, the tears, and the goals.
The world is changing, and I'm not sure what to do,
But I know I must stay true, to the me that's still new.
I'm a renegade, a runt of the litter, they say,
But I'll wear my weakness, as a badge of courage each day.
I have a lot to learn, from life's lessons and strife,
And a lot to share, of the love that's my life.
My heart hurts and loves, and laughs and cries,
But it's weary, yet longing, to trust and to rise.
I'm not lost, because I have you,
My inner self, my guiding light, shining true.
We are we, a duo, yet one,
Seeing life differently, under the same sun.
Dear me, I know we talk every day
In thoughts, no words to say
In the quest to find who I am,
I'll journey with you, my inner self, hand in hand.
