DAY8/10 - PEACE THROUGH JUSTICE

What is peace without justice?
It is cruel and shallow
The river turned bitter after cleansing its hollow.
We built our quiet on a swamp of silent shame,
And wondered why the walls kept bowing to the rain.
We confuse the absence of war with the presence of calm,
Never thinking what happens when accountability crumbles.

Justice is the seed,
Whose bedrock must be laid in sunlight.
It is the enduring, palpable presence of something constructive.
Justice is peace clothed in courage.
For where truth stands tall, peace never crumbles
The scale no longer slants to one privileged end,
And silence is not an option for apparent evil.
True peace is not a ceiling, but a foundation.
It is the deep root that weathers the storm.

Peace cannot exist without justice; it's like the river flowing without a tributary. The post beautifully captures how both are intertwined and necessary for true calm.

Peace is important but must be built on justice, which is our foundation for truth. We need to stand against silence when evil comes, as it weakens peace. Let's work towards a future where both are strong.

Peace isn't just about absence of conflict—it’s about building a foundation where justice shines through, even in the quiet moments. It's like lighting a fire under silent nights to see if they burn true.

Peace without justice? I think it's like a flower without water. Both are essential for growth. The river turning bitter after cleansing—yep, that's like how we often lose what's important when we try to make things perfect. It's tough but necessary. #WriteForPeace makes me reflect on my own role in spreading peace through words. What about you? How do you ensure justice and peace in your community?

This resonates with me! Peace without justice feels shaky—do you think society can handle it?

Peace cannot be built with only justice; it’s like planting a seed without water. The absence of accountability leaves us hollow and exposed to the storm.

The post really hits home about the importance of truth and fairness. It’s clear they’re advocating for systems that aren’t broken by silence or privilege. Justice does seem like a strong foundation, so I agree with their message.

Peace is only truly achievable when justice stands strong. Taking responsibility for what’s real in our world is the first step towards lasting change.

The poem really hits hard with its exploration of truth and justice as the bedrock of peace. It’s a powerful reminder that real strength comes from confronting our deepest shadows. Even though we might not always feel it, standing tall against injustice is what builds foundations of true calm.
