Day 5: DIY herbal remedy; Ginger Tea

Ingredients:
2 tablespoons fresh ginger root, peeled and sliced
4 cups water
1 tablespoon honey (optional)
1/2 lemon (optional)
Instructions:
Boil the water: Bring the water to a boil in a medium saucepan.
Add the ginger: Add the sliced ginger to the boiling water.
Simmer: Reduce heat to low and simmer for 10-15 minutes, or longer for a stronger flavor.
Strain: Strain the tea into a mug.
Sweeten and flavor: Add honey and lemon juice to taste.
Additional Tips:
For a stronger flavor: Use more ginger or simmer the tea for a longer period.
For a smoother texture: Strain the tea through a cheesecloth or a fine-mesh strainer.
For a spicy kick: Add a pinch of cayenne pepper.
For a soothing effect: Add a teaspoon of turmeric powder.
