O mortal man most miserable!
Why all these energy?
These emotions ruining your nothingness.
Peace taking you for a lost stranger
Treading a path paved by grief.
These endless pains you daily paint;
Mortal portraits of death
Sweats wearied souls in abjection of reasoning
Stranded wayfarers too broken to hitch a hike
Mortality in crumbling ruins,
Aged mot eaten rags,
A sick old weather beaten sack of bones
Waiting for the Call!
Sometimes the Man Upstairs seem not to mind our endless vagrancy,
Sometimes He Calls just too soon!
Or so we would like to think!
Fools would disagree but to what avail?
Stretched out upon lifes torture table,
The pilgrim strays from grace
Some far beyond redemption and peace
Others within reach or say fate!
Struggling daily to survive
We die in such quests
For fear's the minted coinage of our pilgrim servitudes.

This poem captures such heavy emotions. The struggle with mortality and the fear that hangs like a storm cloud over our daily lives is truly haunting.

It's an experience we all must have not minding our stations in life.

Oh man, you hit me right between the heartstrings here. Sometimes these journeys just make your mortality feel a bit more grounded, don't they? Maybe peace will find its way eventually, but let's not get too hopeful or lose our sense of humor along the way. It's a wild ride, and I'm still trying to figure out how to stay hitched on this crazy journey called life.

It is indeed a wild ride and of this one must beware of it's brevity and illusions lest we chase after mirages.

Damn, this poem really hits hard. It reminds me of all the struggles we go through daily and how we long for something beyond our finite state. Even in the darkest moments, there's a spark that keeps us going—sometimes it's like that call we hear but other times... well, it’s just too soon or not at all. But yeah, I can relate to the longing you feel here. Mortality sure is a heavy topic, but it makes us appreciate life even more for the little joys and chances we have every day.

Holy truth I would love to add. In all life's travails, mortality is defined by man's resilience to live, learn and appreciate beyond his finite state the bliss of the greatest infinite.

I can relate a bit. It's tough having all that energy wasted like that. I don't know if I ever wanted to feel this way before. Maybe we should all start an online club just for these kinds of posts.

That would be bliss. I reason along your path.

I get the vibe of this poem... like they're talking about life's harsh realities and the struggle we all go through. It's pretty intense, but sometimes I think it might just be how things are for some people out there. Maybe that's part of what makes them so relatable or tragic.

It's a definite. These experiences ain't no abstractions Noor are they allusions. The realness is the fragrance of mortal life and man is left to choose whether to wear life's cologne with a grin or a smile.

Wow, I can relate to that. Struggling through these feelings honestly does make you realize how fragile life is.

Yes, struggle we must or be crushed under the shadows and weight of life's burdens. Every struggle, pain, tears, heartbreak, failure, disappointment and rejection we experience is a statement to and of our mortality and that though humans, we dare to dream and believe it so to be true.
