Loosing Africa Chains

I stand amidst the echoes of ancient plains,
Untangling the weight of African chains,
A critic of the borrowed Western masks,
Embracing roots, in ancient tasks.

I raise my voice against the foreign tides,
A guardian where tradition abides,
In rhythms of the drum, I find my call,
For unity and heritage, I stand tall.

Through words, I shatter imposed walls,
Recalling ancestors' whispered calls,
In tales and songs, I weave the past,
A tapestry of culture, meant to last.

No longer bound by chains unseen,
I champion where my soul has been,
Through art, through dance, through spoken lore,
I reclaim what was mine before.

In the heart of the village, in city streets,
Where every soul, our history greets,
I find the strength in our shared veins,
In untangling these African chains.

I play my part, with courage bold,
In stories ancient, yet to be told,
For every thread of culture regained,
I celebrate our freedom, unchained.

I seek the wisdom of the elders' gaze,
In their eyes, the fire of olden days,
Their knowledge, like rivers, flows in me,
Guiding us towards our destiny.

For every wound that history stains,
We heal with love, in sacred refrains,
Through trials endured and battles fought,
We rise anew, with lessons taught.

In every child who learns to see,
The power of their ancestry,
The future shines with a brighter hue,
A testament to what we can do.

And let us march, hand in hand,
Reclaiming each grain of our land,
With every step, the world reclaims,
The spirit unbound from African chains.
