AWOSHIE UNDER THE SUN — EPISODE 1

A Reflection from the SIMU Collection.

The sun isn’t just shining it is roasting. Awoshie heat is frying human beings like kelewele not yet ready for market. And inside this scorching orchestra, my aunt has turned the neighborhood into a full-blown action film: pots flying like missiles, pans slicing through the air, plates taking off as if they just received visas to travel.

Her drinking companion? The man is dodging like a Mortal Kombat finalist weaving through utensils with reflexes no school or dojo can teach.

The tension in the air is thicker than banku left unattended on fire. Voices rising, utensils landing, the hot ground vibrating with the rhythm of pure, unfiltered chaos poetry.

Me? I’m tucked under a small patch of shade, sweat mixing with laughter, watching Nollywood Season 7 unfold in real time.

Because sometimes, life isn’t drama life is a dramatic masterpiece.
And Awoshie clearly has scriptwriters on payroll.
