The lucent queen swanked in her royal
robe,waded the ambient of dark heritage
with the maiden stars stationed all around

She glided solemnly within the empyrean
courtyard, through engulfing clouds
of scary darkness, till her attendants
all wandered away

Her glaring smiles gradually weakened,
faded into the frown spectrum of gray-amber
dawn as the curtain of darkness folded

reluctantly at the horrizon, like the ebbing
tide drifting from the shore of a dark sea,
till the emerging shore came to view

Night had begun to shed slough all
through, from head to toe, till her dead
skin vanished behind the diurnal scene

Curious cocks called to one another
from their kraal, sang the new birth
to wake slumberous lives as dawn
folded off the sackcloth of night

Far away, the rambling stream, cute singers
echoed their lay in praise of nature-- dwan
has given voice to birds in the wood.

hmm this actually gave me chills a little. the way you describe night shedding its skin like that... i've felt that exact thing standing outside at like 5am when the sky starts doing that weird gray-to-pink thing and everything feels so still. idk how you put it into words but you did. the part about the cocks singing the new birth hit me too, my neighbor's rooster does that and it used to annoy me but now i kinda get it. beautiful writing
