A PLACE I CALLED HOME

I have a lot to unfold
Sometimes for a little to hold
Some bad memories untold
Somewhere humanity was sold
Somewhere I called home
Making nickel out of melt lead
With bottles without a single lid
They all expected me to lead
With instructions to heed
Somewhere I called home
Six siblings needed to feed
Vegetables made of weed
Lord this is all I need
Don't multiply this fateful seed
Somewhere I called home
I may need a string and hook
Fetch fish for six of us to cook
Be strong and hey! Look!
As I erase a chapter in this book
Somewhere I called home
